Boynton Beach, FL - Man Killed, One Hurt in Two-Car Crash on Military Trl

Boynton Beach, FL (September 24, 2023) – On Monday afternoon, a 99-year-old Boynton Beach man was driving an SUV when he collided with a pickup vehicle attempting a U-turn, resulting in fatal injuries, as reported by police on Sunday.

On Monday at about 1:30 p.m., the man was driving his 2008 Honda CRV north on Military Trail in Boynton Beach when he reached the junction of Royal Palm Drive.

Shortly thereafter, the Honda was hit by the driver of an F-150 on the rear passenger side, spinning about 180 degrees before resting on the shoulder. Police said the other driver, an adult female, was also hurt but expected to recover.

The man’s condition was described as “critical” when he arrived at Delray Medical Center. On Friday night, authorities confirmed his death.

An investigation remains active and ongoing, and the circumstances leading up to the accident are still unclear.

We extend our sincere condolences to the deceased man’s family. Our thoughts are extended to the injured victim in hopes of her full recovery.
