West Palm Beach, FL - Apollo Bummolo Loses Life in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Southern Blvd near Perimeter Rd

West Palm Beach, FL (August 3, 2021) – A motorcyclist has lost his life after he was hit by a vehicle on a roadway in Palm Beach on the morning of Saturday, July 31. The incident was reported to officials in the area at around 1:30 a.m., according to reports.

The motorcyclist, identified as Apollo Bummolo, 23, of West Palm Beach, was headed east on his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle near the 3000 block of Southern Boulevard when a collision occurred with an eastbound 2020 Toyota Camry. The Camry, driven by 18-year-old Esteban Cuadra who suffered minor injuries, was traveling over 124 miles per hour when it struck the right side of the motorcycle, according to the police report. Bummolo was then thrown onto the front of the car, before Cuadra’s Camry veered into the center median and hit a large road sign. Bummolo lost his life at the scene of the crash, according to reports.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved. We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Apollo Bummolo.

Car Crashes in West Palm Beach

Florida, being one of the more dangerous states in the nation for drivers, sees more than 3,000 reported fatalities per year. Motorists should always ensure that they are operating their vehicles in a safe manner and in compliance with all traffic laws. Unfortunately, not all drivers use the appropriate care and caution and their actions can directly lead to serious injuries and death for innocent victims.

If you have lost a loved one to a Florida motorcycle accident, you are no doubt experiencing the toughest and most difficult time of your life. Nothing can mentally prepare a family member for the sudden loss and grief that accompanies such a tragedy. While no amount of money can replace your loss, you could be entitled to seek justice on behalf of your relative.

Under Florida law, a family member may initiate an action for wrongful death where their loved one was killed because of a negligent driver. Florida wrongful death law allows these cases to proceed and also allows victims to seek compensation for their losses. Some types of recoverable damages include funeral and medical bills, lost wages, loss of companionship, punitive damages, and potentially more.

A wrongful death claim is complicated and should only be handled by an attorney who is familiar with this area of the law. At Boone & Davis, our Miami wrongful death attorneys will have your back every step of the way. We will ensure that you receive the compensation you need and that justice will be served in your case.
