Tamarac, FL – Bicyclist Seriously Hurt After Crash on W Commercial Blvd
Tamarac, FL (August 10, 2021) – Police in Tamarac are currently investigating a hit-and-run collision that left a bicyclist with serious injuries on the morning of Friday, August 6. At around 6:55 a.m., the incident was reported to authorities in the area.
Police, paramedics, and other responders were dispatched to the scene in order to assist those involved. According to reports, a silver Nissan Pathfinder SUV headed east on West Commercial Boulevard hit the bicyclist.
The vehicle then turned around, traveling west in the eastbound lane. The driver fled the scene, sources state. When police arrived, they found the cyclist severely injured lying in the roadway. He was promptly transported to an area medical center for treatment.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. Authorities in Tamarac continue to investigate.
