Port St. Lucie, FL – One Killed, One Critically Injured in Crash at US 1 & SE Lennard Rd
Port St. Lucie, FL (February 5, 2021) – One person has lost their life after their involvement in an auto accident that occurred in Port St Lucie on Tuesday, February 2. Another person was critically injured in the crash that took place on US 1 at the intersection with Southeast Lennard Road.
Sources show that the collision happened just after 12:00 a.m. when 24-year-old Troy Robert Posey crashed his Chevy Silverado into a concrete pole. He was attempting to make a turn at the time.
Posey was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical professionals. His passenger, identified as 18-year-old Lillian Barnhart, was critically injured in the collision. She is currently being treated at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
A third passenger involved has not been identified to the public at this time. They suffered only minor injuries in the accident.
Closures were issued at the intersection for several hours after the crash happened. Investigations into the circumstances of the incident will be carried out by local police.
