Plantation, FL – Fatal Hit & Run Pedestrian Crash Takes 1 Life on Sunrise Blvd near Florida’s Turnpike
Plantation, FL (February 5, 2021) – Authorities in Plantation are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that took the life of one pedestrian. The accident occurred just before 6:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1.
Reports indicate the collision happened in the westbound lanes of Sunrise Boulevard near Florida’s Turnpike when a woman was struck by a vehicle. How the crash occurred remains under local police investigation at this time.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver who struck her fled the site of the collision.
Sunrise Boulevard was closed while responders worked to clear the area. An investigation into the circumstances of the collision will be carried out by local authorities.
