North Lauderdale, FL – Woman Hit, Killed on FL Trnpke at Commercial Blvd
North Lauderdale, FL (November 21, 2023) – Further details have been released after a deadly crash on the Florida Turnpike near North Lauderdale.
Authorities say that a 30-year-old woman was reportedly killed after she was hit by a vehicle around 12:50 a.m. on Monday, November 20, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The woman was standing on the outer paved shoulder of the southbound lanes of the Turnpike near Commercial Boulevard, according to FHP. The driver of a Hyundai Kona allegedly lost control of the SUV and hit the woman shortly thereafter. As a result of her injuries, the woman was declared deceased at the scene by the Tamarac Fire Rescue crew. The crash report indicates that the investigation is continuing and is being investigated.
