Injury Accidents in Florida

Florida ranks at or near the top of national statistics when it comes to car accidents and injuries arising from those accidents. According to the most recent information available, there are about 400,000 reported Florida car accidents each year. From this number, there are about 250,000 injuries and over 3,000 deaths. These statistics show us that driving in Florida can be a hazardous activity, especially for drivers who choose not to follow basic safety precautions. Unfortunately, given the number of negligent drivers all around us, no one is ever truly safe from being involved in a car accident.

A car accident in Florida can be a stressful and emotionally draining experience for victims. The physical pain of the accident can take away your abilities to enjoy the types of activities that you enjoyed before the crash. In addition, you may be unable to work and to support yourself or your family as a result of your injuries. Further, the crash can cause you to suffer from anxiety, PTSD, depression, and a number of mental ailments as you try to move forward from a traumatic experience.

When it comes to handling your Florida car accident claim, it is important to keep all of these things in mind when you are trying to negotiate or achieve a settlement. The cost of your past and future medical care must be considered, along with the impact that the accident has caused on your life. Your pain and suffering and lost wages are an important component of the case and should be valued appropriately. It is important to have an attorney who understands the law and can make sure you are not left shorthanded.
