Car Accidents in Florida

The population of Florida continues to increase steadily each year. As of the most recent reporting, there are nearly 21.5 million residents of our state. This does not include the many visitors that travel to Florida each year to experience beaches, theme parks, and other attractions that we have to offer. With so many busy areas, the roadways can be a dangerous place for motorists. According to statistics, there are nearly 400,000 reported car accidents in Florida annually, with approximately 250,000 injuries reported in these crashes. This amounts to a reported car accident roughly every 92 seconds.

If you have been a victim of a crash on Florida’s roadways, there are several things you should do to protect yourself. If possible, you should take photographs of the scene following the accident. This will help to refresh your memory later and will help back up your story regarding how the crash occurred. You should also photograph any visible injuries from the accident.

Following the crash, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Failing to seek timely medical care can jeopardize both your health and your personal injury claim. The insurance adjuster may believe that you were not actually hurt if you do not obtain care right away. Further, many car accident injuries tend to linger, and seeing a doctor right away can help to prevent a more serious situation down the road.

Finally, you should speak with a skilled Florida car accident attorney at your earliest convenience. While not all Florida car accidents require an attorney, you should always have legal counsel if you were hurt in the crash. At Boone & Davis Law, our experienced and trusted team will help make sure you receive the compensation that you need and deserve to help you move forward following a crash. We will hold negligent motorists accountable for their actions that led to your injuries.
