Fatal Accidents in Florida

Florida is a dangerous state for motorists. In 2019, more than 3,000 people lost their lives due to Florida traffic accidents. Many of these victims were killed in crashes that were not their fault and simply found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. There are numerous factors that contribute to deadly injury accidents in Florida. In most cases, the at-fault driver is violating some traffic law or is driving in an otherwise careless or negligent manner. Each collision must be carefully investigated in order to determine the exact cause.

If you have lost a loved one in a Florida traffic accident, you are no doubt going through the most difficult time in your life. As you move forward, it is important to have a full understanding of your legal rights. Under Florida law, you could be entitled to file a wrongful death action on behalf of your family member. These claims can result in you receiving valuable compensation to assist you in dealing with the sudden and unexpected financial burdens of the crash. A wrongful death claim in Florida allows you to seek recovery of medical and funeral costs, compensation for loss of companionship, lost wages, punitive damages, and possibly more.
