Injury Accidents in Florida

Being involved in a Florida car accident can be a truly life-changing experience for crash victims. In 2019, there were 401,867 reported crashes in our state, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. More than 236,000 people were hurt in these accidents and, sadly, 3,135 individuals lost their lives. While not all car accidents in Florida will result in injuries, many of them do. Some common injuries sustained in a Florida car accident include broken bones, head trauma, neck injury, spinal cord injuries, and soft tissue injuries. In many cases, injuries sustained in an accident will require long-term and comprehensive medical care. Such medical treatment can be costly and can easily cause financial hardship for many people.

Although a car accident can bring many negative consequences, your future is not necessarily bleak. If you were not at fault for the crash, you may be entitled to receive compensation for your injuries. Under Florida law, innocent crash victims may be able to bring a claim to recover damages for their pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, and potentially more. It is important to speak with a qualified Florida car accident lawyer in order to fully understand your rights and to make sure that you receive the appropriate outcome.
