Florida Pedestrian Accidents

Being involved in a Florida pedestrian crash can be a life-changing event. Pedestrian accidents in Florida pose great dangers as pedestrians are the most vulnerable crash victims on our roadways. With no protection from the impact of the crash and with often no time to take any evasive maneuvers, a pedestrian often takes the full brunt of the collision. Statistics indicate the dangers faced by pedestrians on our roadways. In a recent year, 75% of all pedestrian collisions in Florida resulted in a visit to the emergency room, while 20% of all pedestrian accidents caused serious injuries. Overall, more than 20% of all traffic-related fatalities in our state are attributable to crashes involving pedestrians.

If you or a loved one have been the victim of a Florida pedestrian accident, it is important to have a full understanding of your legal options. First, the crash must be carefully investigated by authorities in order to determine how it took place and who should be held responsible. After this occurs, a pedestrian who has been injured in the accident should seek the services of a skilled attorney who can help them recover compensation for their injuries.
