Miami Car Accidents

Miami is one of the largest metro areas in the country. Along with a bustling lifestyle also comes larger traffic volumes and, consequently, higher rates of traffic accidents. According to statistics from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were 64,627 reported car accidents in Miami in 2018. In 2019, the number decreased slightly but remained high at 64,495. More than 300 people were also killed in Miami car accidents in 2019, and thousands more sustained injuries when they were involved in a crash.

The rates of serious and fatal car accidents in Miami are quite high. Area drivers should always remember to use care and caution and to drive defensively at all times in order to lower their risk of a crash. Speeding, reckless driving, distraction, and impairment are the main causes of serious accidents that can have a life-changing outcome. If you or a loved one have been affected by one of these crashes, you should seek legal help as soon as possible.
