Miami, FL – Motorcyclist Hit by Vehicle at SW 4th Ave & SW 1st St

Miami, FL (May 28, 2021) – A motorcycle accident in the homestead area sent one person to a local hospital with injuries. At around 12:20 a.m., on May 28, authorities were called to the site of a crash on Southwest 4th Avenue.

Reports from authorities show that a motorcyclist was traveling in the vicinity of Southwest 4th Avenue and Southwest 1st Street. For unknown reasons, the rider was struck by a second vehicle that was passing through the intersection during the early morning hours on Friday.

The rider sustained injuries in the accident. Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the injured victim. The motorcyclist was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further care. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with those injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.

Motorcycle Accidents in Miami, Florida

Motorcycle riders are considered vulnerable road users by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. The reason for this classification is that motorcyclists are highly likely to be seriously injured and even killed when they are involved in an accident with another vehicle. In 2019, there were a total of 1,023 motorcycle crashes in Miami-Dade County. From this number, 841 injuries and 46 fatalities were reported. The odds of being injured in a Miami motorcycle accident are far greater than an accident involving another type of vehicle. Motorcycles offer little or no protection against the force and impact of a crash.

If you have been involved in a motorcycle accident in the Miami area, you are likely in need of compensation. If the accident was not your fault, it is important to have a full understanding of your legal rights. Under Florida law, you could be entitled to recover for your damages, including your medical and prescription costs, lost wages, and potentially more. You should never try to handle the case on your own as this decision could cost you tens of thousands of dollars. The insurance company is not working for you and will attempt to get you to settle your case quickly and for the lowest possible amount.
