Miami, FL – Injury Crash on W Flagler St & NW 17th Avenue

Boynton Beach, FL - Two Killed in Crash on Turnpike near Mile Marker 84

Miami, FL (July 24, 2021) – Authorities in Miami are investigating following a crash involving a police vehicle and another vehicle on Friday, July 23rd. The crash happened just after 6:15 a.m. on West Flagler Street at the intersection with Northwest 17th Avenue in the Little Havana neighborhood.

Police say that a black SUV and a patrol car collided with each other at the intersection. The SUV rolled over following the crash and also collided with a light pole. The police vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end. Three people, including two police officers, were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The crash caused the westbound lanes to be shut down as authorities cleared the scene. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel.

The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. An investigation is ongoing and there have been no charges filed.
