Florida Car Accidents

Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the nation for motorists. On average, a reportable car accident in Florida takes place about once every 90 seconds. With more than 400,000 car accidents annually, the dangers of operating a car in our state cannot be underscored enough. Almost all Florida car accidents are caused by the negligence of at least one driver. While the cause of each crash varies, most collisions occur due to some type of negligence, including speeding, driving while impaired, distraction, reckless driving, and more. The results of a car accident can be devastating and can lead to a long recovery, including high medical costs and tremendous physical pain.

In the aftermath of a car accident in Florida, you will likely be contacted by an insurance company. The insurance adjuster will want to speak with you regarding the collision and will want to obtain your side of the story. Many people will make the mistake at this point of trying to reach a quick settlement with the adjuster. The issue is that these settlement offers are often inadequate and do not compensate you for the full value of your case. In some instances, you may need future medical treatment or you could have unexpected medical bills that arise due to the crash. Once you settle your claim, you are waiving the right to receive any further compensation for your injuries.

Following an injury crash, you should seek legal counsel as soon as possible. A skilled and experienced Florida car accident attorney can ensure that you receive the compensation that you deserve and that your case is settled for its full value. Here at Boone & Davis Law, our Miami car accident attorneys understand what you are going through during this difficult time and we can help.
