The motorcyclist was transported from the scene to Ryder Trauma Center where they were treated for injuries deemed minor in nature.

Delays in traffic were observed in the area while crews were present. Local drivers were asked to steer clear and find alternate routes for the time being.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved as we hope for their full recovery.

Miami Car Crashes

Florida is home to many motorcyclists. With year-round warm weather, many riders enjoy taking to the roadways as a hobby or even as their main mode of transportation. Riding a motorcycle, however, comes with great risks. According to some more recent statistics, there were 8,995 Florida motorcycle accidents reported in 2019, and more than 7,000 injuries reported as a result of these crashes. Sadly, 1,885 people suffered incapacitating injuries in these accidents, and 521 lost their lives. These statistics show us just how vulnerable a motorcycle rider can be when they are involved in a crash with a larger vehicle.

Many motorcycle accidents in Florida result in life-changing outcomes for victims. In a large number of cases, the motorcyclist is not at fault for the accident. Drivers often fail to see motorcycles or fail to yield to riders until it is too late to avoid a crash. In these instances, a motorcyclist can end up with injuries that may take weeks, months, or even years to heal. During this time, the medical bills continue to pile up as individuals and families are unduly burdened in the aftermath of the crash.
