Car Accidents in Miami

The Miami-Dade area is one of the most populous areas in both our state and the country. Miami is also a favorite spot for tourists and visitors, which attracts more drivers to the streets and highways and increases the chances of an accident occurring. According to statistics from the Florida Department of Highway Safety, there were 64,627 car accidents in Miami-Dade in 2018, resulting in 293 fatalities. In 2019, there were 64,495 crashes but 335 fatalities. These numbers underscore the dangerous and deadly nature of the roadways in and around Miami. Drivers should always remember to use care and caution when traveling.

If you have been hurt in a crash and the collision was not your fault, you may wonder what legal rights you have. Under Florida law, you could be entitled to compensation for your injuries. This includes payment for your pain and suffering, medical bills, and lost wages. It is important to document your injuries and any wages that you have lost as a result of the crash in order to help preserve your claim for compensation due to the accident. You should also speak with an experienced car accident lawyer in Miami as soon as possible.
