Hollywood, FL- Two Killed, Two Hurt in Rollover Crash on I-95
Hollywood, FL (March 6, 2021) – Two people lost their lives and two others were injured after a serious crash in Hollywood on Friday morning, March 5th. The incident occurred on the Hollywood Boulevard exit ramp, just off Interstate 95.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene. According to troopers, a vehicle was traveling southbound on the exit ramp when the driver lost control and collided with another vehicle at the intersection. A man and a woman in the second vehicle suffered serious injuries. They were transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Both were identified as being in their 60s but their names have not been released at this time. Two occupants of the first vehicle were also treated for undisclosed injuries.
The crash resulted in the closure of Hollywood Boulevard near Park Road and 28th Avenue. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and to use Johnson Street as an alternate route if necessary.
There is no word on whether charges are expected to be filed. An investigation is ongoing at this time. No further information is available.
