Florida Car Accidents

According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were more than 400,000 reportable car accidents in Florida in 2019. The number of injury accidents exceeded 200,000 during this same time period. These numbers place Florida near the top of all national statistics when it comes to accidents and injury accidents. The short-term and long-term effects of a car accident in Florida can be very serious and catastrophic. Injuries such as broken bones, head trauma, and spinal cord injuries can linger and can cause months and years of pain, along with costly medical bills as you move forward along your path to recovery.

Florida law allows injured accident victims to seek a recovery when they have been hurt in a crash that they did not cause. These laws protect the victim from bearing financial responsibility for someone else’s negligence. Under the law, you could be entitled to receive compensation including payments for your pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, and possibly more. The amount of your compensation depends on a variety of factors and your case should always be evaluated by an attorney with skills and experience in this area.
