El Portal, FL – Woman Injured in Three-Car Crash at N Miami Ave & NW 85th St
El Portal, FL (April 13, 2021) – A South Florida driver was rescued after her car ended up in a canal following a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon, April 13.
Authorities say that the incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. along North Miami Avenue and Northwest 85th Street. A woman’s black Chevy Cruze slid into the C-7 canal after the wreck occurred, and an off-duty police officer rescued the driver. Officers with the Miami-Dade Police Department say that it was the result of a crash involving three cars.
Another car collided with the victim’s vehicle, causing the car to plunge into the canal and become submerged. The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The events leading up to the wreck are still under investigation, and officers have not released further details about those involved.
