Davie, FL - Five Injured in Carbon Monoxide Accident at 2000 SW 71st Terr

Davie, FL (April 27, 2021) – Five people were transported to the hospital on Tuesday morning, April 27, after a carbon monoxide incident inside a warehouse in Davie.

Davie Police and Fire Rescue crews responded to the accident at a business along the 2000 block of Southwest 71st Terrace just after 9:00 a.m.

Authorities said that a man sat in a truck parked at a warehouse bay and left it running overnight. Rescue officials said that the truck running led to several people getting sick by carbon monoxide. The man was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, and four others were also transported but are expected to recover.

The incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.

Workplace Accidents in Florida

Factory and construction workers know all too well that their jobs come with a long list of hazards. A job site is typically a dangerous environment due to the dangerous equipment and tools, large machinery, and the long, exhausting hours they are required to work. These various dangers are made worse by inadequate safety measures, defective equipment, or one of the hundreds of other factors that can cause workplace accidents with injuries that are equally devastating to workers and those who depend on them.

If someone has sustained injuries in a workplace accident in Florida, the law entitles the injured victim to file a personal injury suit in state court for financial compensation for monetary damages.
