Coconut Grove, FL – Multi-Vehicle Accident Injures Bicyclist on S Dixie Hwy near 27th Ave
Coconut Grove, FL (April 28, 2021) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after they were involved in a multi-vehicle accident that closed down U.S. 1 in Coconut Grove. The incident was reported on Wednesday afternoon at around 3:45 p.m.
Miami City Police and Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the crash scene located on the South Dixie Highway near Southwest 27th Avenue in order to assist those involved. Injured parties were transported by ambulance to the local Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The victims were stated to have sustained critical injuries in the collision. Their names have not been released to the public at this time.
Traffic was backed up to I-95 and local motorists were urged to seek alternate routes while investigators worked at the site of the accident.
