Broward County, FL – Injury Accident on I-95 S near Sheridan St
Broward County, FL (August 13, 2021) – An injury collision occurred on an interstate in Broward County that required an emergency response. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at around 2:39 a.m.
Sources indicate that the wreck happened on Interstate 95 South just beyond Exit 21, State Route 822/Sheridan Street. Four left lanes were blocked on the interstate for an extended period of time afterward while crews worked to clear the scene and assist injured parties.
One or more people sustained injuries in the crash, though their identities have not been released at this time. Those with severe injuries were loaded into ambulances and taken to area medical centers as needed.
Traffic delays on Interstate 95 in the vicinity of Sheridan Street were observed for an extended time period in the early morning hours of August 13. Local drivers had to find different travel routes for the time being.
